Orchid-growing tips

My friend Jaime McKee mentioned she's having trouble with her orchid, so I looked up some tips. See below. And please add yours.

How much light: Light is a key factor in growing healthy orchids. Direct sunlight may cause plants to burn, and too little light will prevent plants from flowering. An ideal location is behind curtains or window blinds.

How much water:
Unfortunately, watering this frequently will kill the roots of any orchid in short order. The general rule of thumb for orchids grown in the home is to water every 5 to 12 days.

When to fertilize: Be sure to use an orchid food that is formulated for orchids and follow the instructions on the label. In general, most orchid fertilizers recommend usage once a month.

When to repot: A newly potted phalaenopsis should be able to remain in its growth media two years before repotting.

finally! tips I can use! And, I don't think they're too hard to follow!

Tomorrow's goal will be to move the orchid back to the living room - next to the window that has a curtain.
