- I work with Nichols Nursery. Nichols Nursery is a family-run business, with over 100 varieties of Japanese Maples, that has been committed to specializing in Japanese Maples since 1974. Norman Nichols, founder and green thumb extraordinaire, has become known as one of the leading experts in grafting and growing Japanese Maples in Western North Carolina. I have grown up working in the maples and, with my brother Matt Nichols, am becoming a master in the art as well. Nichols Nursery can be found at the Henderson County Tailgate Market every Saturday from 8am-Noon. For directions, please check our our website below!
