Hi MIke, welcome to the conversation. I've been on vacation until just now, or I would have welcomed you sooner. We are sandy and sunburned (a bit), just back from Charleston.

Hey!
Thanks for the email.
I was not a member till you left your
message, so I signed up.
I'm mostly a container garderner, and an assistant to Robin in the yard. Just like in the kitchen.
Hope you are all fine.

I suspect that the garden perhaps reflects its creator...well, not THE CREATOR, but this little earthly creator! So...how do we go about creating our website? That could be really fun!!

You're supposed to dig dahlia bulbs in the fall and store them in a cool dry place in.....something....wood shavings? I've always wintered dahlias over and they've been fine until this last winter, but I think it was because of the location of them (in heavy clay, wet soil) more than the weather, because other dahlias in other locations were just fine. I always mulch them heavily. I'm a dahlia freak!--I know some gardeners think they're gaudy, but I just love them.
