- The mountains seem to be a great place for growing things because most of the time, I just put something in the ground and it takes off. I have a rosemary that is huge and it flowers year-round. I want to start a vegetable garden, but am lazy and haven't gotten around to it yet. But I have my hopes up that this will be the year! I also have two new garden spaces to work with and design. Am hoping to get out before the mosquitoes come along and it gets too hot to move. Would love to have any cuttings from people who are thinning out their garden - I'm always willing to give things a try in my yard.
