Calling all community gardeners! Introduce yourself

Hey, if you're out there, come join us. There is more and more interest in growing food these days and the number of community gardens has jumped. Bountiful Cities is enlivening our web presence to be of service to the community gardens of Asheville. We'd like to see this Ning group and our Google Group (http://groups.google.com/group/bountiful-cities-project-forum) become active with people sharing resources, ideas and questions. Publicize your garden's workdays and events, find tools, exchange seeds, recipes, worms....
By way of an introduction, I am part of a garden in West Asheville called Falconhurst Community Garden. We are just one year old. We don't have individual plots but instead work collectively, sharing all the labor and the produce. We are doubling our space for next season - from 1200 to 2400 square feet, and our membership is growing too, from 3 core families to 8. There are about 10 other families that participate less frequently. We have monthly potlucks when the weather is warm.
