New Dawn

A friend gave me a New Dawn climbing rose last summer that had failed to do well in her yard. I cut it back and planted it in a temporary spot, and it put out some beautiful dark green leaves before winter set in. I want to move it to a better spot soon, but I don't want to feature it if it's going to be a difficult rose. I've looked on line and some say it is an easy, repeat bloomer with good fragrance while others say the opposite. Any local (general Asheville area) experience with this rose would be appreciated!
