Can't really see the leaves or the flower profile (is the flower shape a kind of tubular base, opening up wider through the blossom front?). I'm thinking it might be a weigelia - they are blooming right now.

Sometimes going out to one of the garden centers with a piece of the flower or taking it down to the Buncombe County Master Gardeners at the County Extention office on Coxe can get someone to eyeballit and give the name.
Found out! Leptospermum scoparium, common name New Zealand Tea Tree.
