I have Cherokee Purple heritage tomatoes that grow very well until about 24" and then they wilt as if the soil is dry. The soil is not dry. What is happening and what can be done?

I'd suggest taking a picture and taking to the local extension service office, or call their helpline number to ask and get assistance from the master gardeners in house. Good luck.
