Garden Asheville

I have a long row of strawberry plants. Last summer I only got to eat one berry out of every 10 because the squirrels beat me to them.  I covered the row with two layers of netting and that didn't bother them at all.  Has anyone ever made a cage to protect their strawberries?  If so, how?  Is there anything ready made you can buy?  I've heard you can make a structure out of pvc but I can't figure out how or how to cover it in wire. I'm considering buying 2" lengths of wood, building some sort of cage and wrapping it in rabbit wire, but again, I'm not sure how.  Can anyone give me a clue?
