Shrubs and Perennials From Carolina Native Nursery

 Friday October 7^th 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM

The nursery will be open from 8:30 to 7:00 for business. We will have some plants on special and look forward to seeing you. We will also have a selection of larger, B&B Rhododendrons and Mt. Laurels available for sale. Plus we will have staff on hand to assist you and answer your questions.

9:30 to 10:30 Learn about Native Shrubs: From Aronia to Zenobia: Take an hour walk through the nursery and hear from nursery owner Bill Jones. He will talk about some of the over 90 varieties of deciduous and evergreen shrubs that Carolina Native Nursery grows.  Bill will discuss with you his experience with their growth habits, growing conditions, any insect or disease concerns, and any other insights gained in close to 20 years of landscape and nursery experience.

11:00 – 11:45 Nursery Tour: Join the Carolina Native staff to see all aspects of growing native shrubs and perennials. From seeds and cuttings, sun and shade, to finished plants, you will learn how it is all done.

1:30 - 2:30 Perennials and Ferns: Join Carolina Native Nursery’s horticulturalist Shelby Singleton to review the selection of perennials and ferns that  are currently in production. Some of these we are growing from seed, others from cuttings. She will review the growing characteristics that can be expected in the landscape.

3:30 – 4:15 Nursery Tour: Join the Carolina Native staff to see all aspects of growing native shrubs and perennials

Directions from Asheville:  Take 19/23N (Future I-26N). Take the Burnsville/ Hwy 19E Exit (Exit 9); turn right at the bottom of the ramp. Go around 10 miles looking for Prices Creek Rd. (there is a big red barn reading Cornerstone Baptist Church on the left). Take a Right on Prices Creek Rd. Go 1/4 mile and take the first Right over the bridge. Then we are a little over a mile on the left. You cannot miss us.
