Wondering if anyone follows an almanac when planting?   If so, which one?

Are you referring to moon phases or weather condition timing(temps)?  Lately, I've gotten into the county extension service's one page(front/back) showing the timing of vegetable planting, for our 6b weather zone.  The Asheville zone has been changed to 7a, but the publication still refers to the past designation.  The handy guide, which I obtained from the Coxe Ave. office, shows the spring and fall planting dates for our region.  The publication for the entire state is good, but you have to add or subtract 10 to 20 days for western NC planting.  This newer, regional guide is precise and helpful.  Check it out!
