What kind of veggies can be planted now? I'm just starting to harvest my summer crops but keep reading about planting for Fall....When do you start planting the fall crops?

I plant my fall crops the end of Aug/1st of Sept, depending on the rain. I like to plant before it is supposed to rain since they germinate better then.I cover the place I'm going to plant with burlap for a week or so before planting to keep the soil cooler and then I cover the planted seed bed with old window screening over wire to shade them.

I think you can plant green beans now as they are quick. I''m not a green bean fan so I usually just plant buckwheat cover crop when I finish harvesting a bed. It will be ready in about a month and then it'll be time for fall crops.
