Garden Asheville

I am a hobby gardener with no expertise - I have moved lots of iris onto a sunny bed and they bloomed marvelously this spring. But they are huge!! Many have formed large seed pods. I am unsure about when to move them, to thin them, and when (or if) to cut the foliage back.

Can anyone help?

I, on the other hand, have iris plants but no blooms for 2 years now, and I am perplexed by this. OK, last year, they were bitten by the Easter freeze. Then they were probably stressed when I had to take them up for an exterior paint job on our house, But I replaced them in their beds and they should have bloomed this spring. Alas, nothing!
