Garden Asheville

I don't own gloves. I never use them -- period. But times change. Some people use garden gloves, others get poison ivy and then look for gloves.

But I don't want just any gloves. I want gardening gloves that fit well (I have huge hands), are tough, and come up my arms a ways. Let's pretend money is no object.

All fabrics/materials are possible. What's the best gardening gloves you know of?

If you find these gloves--please let me know. My long fingers do not fit comfortably in most women's gloves. I have to try on many pairs myself.
Dave, I always use supple fine leather gardening gloves, specifically made for gardening. Every time I go out into the garden I put them on. I got them for many years from Smith & Hawkin and I would have to replace them about every 2 years. Sometimes I got them from the Gardener's Supply catalog, too. But the good news is that you can find these gloves many places now. BB Barns, for one.
Also for rose growers, or like when you have to do some heavy clearing out, which I know you sometimes do, there are these gauntlet gloves that go nearly up to your elbows. They're pretty cool, too.

But you know, I have the opposite problem with my fingers. They're short and gloves are often too big for me.
