Garden Asheville

Hi everybody. I have another free seed offer.

The first five people to post here, or email me will get a free packet of Sequoiadendron giganteum seeds. These seeds are from JL Hudson, and have good germination rates. Think how cool it would be to have one of these growing in your yard!

requests can be emailed to info@bbbarns.com but do post here in this thread that you're interested so I can keep the requests in order.

Cheers!

Have you got any takers yet? My property has only part sun on it--so I wont waste your time Michael.
You could give a few a try. Always fun to experiment.

I can save some for you GTG. Cheers!
ok Michael--I missed you today at BB Barns. Take care--Dawn
Not sure about how to plant these. Have lots of sun here so yes I would be interested. Just make sure you send instructions about care.
Thanks lots.
I'd be happy to include germination instructions. I'll send them out today or tomorrow.

Still have a few packs left...
Okay, after saving a few seeds for GTG and processing the requests I received today, I have one more pack of seeds to send out. Once this packet is spoken for, I'll get another cool seed offer posted. I'm also going to have some free plant offers to come shortly!

Stay tuned for the fun stuff!
Free plant offers? woo-hoo!
For everybody who got these seeds, here are the germination instructions:

Make a planting mix of 50% free draining potting soil, 50% coarse sharp sand. Place seeds on top of soil, then cover with a thin layer of the planting mix. Keep them warm and moist, and they should germinate in approximately 2 to 6 weeks.

Many people recommend cold stratification for these seeds, and then a long soak in distilled water. This is usually necessary with older seeds, but these seeds that I've sent out are rather fresh. If you want to look at the cold stratification instructions in more detail you can find them here, CLICK TO VIEW.
is the last packet of seeds spoken for? :)

:)
Unfortunately the seeds are all gone. It was kind of cool how it worked out actually. The last couple packs of seeds were sent internationally! That's right, gardenasheville.com is global. Rock on!

Anyway, I've been a little remiss about getting more free plant & seed deals up. My bad. I'll start another thread topic this evening with more cool free stuff. Keep yer eyes peeled!
Okay, I have had a flood of emails from people all over the world, and from within the US asking if any more of these seeds are available. I don't have any more, but they can be purchased from JL Hudson Seedsman.

If anybody is unfamiliar with this company, it is FANTASTIC! The selection of seeds is amazing, and the philosophy and expertise of the owner is amazing. Check out their selection!
Can you please send me seeds of sequoia?. I would like to put them in my land in amanalco, Estado de Mexico.
Please tell me about costs.

Thanks
jesus
